Rising Damp

Rising damp typically occurs when your damp proof course has failed, a correctly instated damp proof course should be at least 150mm (two courses of brick) higher than the ground floor level, these first layers of brick will absorb moisture from the ground below, but then your damp proof course should then prevent moisture to penetrate past this point. The main issue with rising damp is the salts and nitrates are absorbed from the ground below, moisture then penetrates up through the brickwork and will emit further up the wall, unfortunately once this has happened, the brickwork will then be saturated with the salts and will then promote further moisture to be absorbed for the foreseeable future. Although the brickwork has now been contaminated and cannot be reversed, Damp Nation can offer you a chemical drill and inject damp proof course in TOWNNN to prevent any additional moisture to pass through your brickwork.
